May 14, Day 25: Mile 356.7-369.3
Miles Hiked: 12.6
Gratitude of the Day: I’m thankful for my great friends Adam and Ali Neale (haha that’s right Ali! It’s Neale!!!). And how could I forget Logan, Wade and Bear the bestest of doggies and most cuddly of cats. These two are the “yes” clan! I love them for it! No matter what crazy adventure I have in mind they’re in, and absolutely no complaints.

Today was am expected easy day, if easy means 12 miles into the town of Wrightwood. Honestly it was a beautiful morning, my legs felt great after such a long day the day before. I was up at 5am and out of by 5:20. The sun was just kissing the horizon and I was hiking in the shade of the crest which made it nice and cool.
12 miles later I was at the highway with 5 other hikers and we were “thumbing” a ride 10 miles into town… hitch hiking is still so new to me, but the locals know about PCT hikers. The first care had room for 3, so Hiccups and I let the other group go. But no less than 5 minutes later a couple of trail runners picked us up and took us to town! Score!
Tonight I’m staying with 17 other hikers at an Airbnb rented by now trail name Gatsby… because he randomly rented a huge house and then “trail gossip” filled the other spots in the house. It’s been a great experience, hot tub, warm shower, laundry, pizza and great conversations. Tonight is a sleep indoors, back to trail tomorrow.
