Day 133: Thank You Allen and 2300 miles

August 30, Day 133: 2295.9-2308.3

Miles Hiked: 12.4

Gratitude of the Day: I’m thankful for Allen “Clancy” Lunde of the Salty Butt Bandits.  He has brought so much joy, laughter and love to the group and to me on trail.

Back to trail from Packwood and the amazing hospitality from Clancy’s parents and family. After getting up and cleaning up and packing our bags, Sarah met me to give me my rain layers and the new tent I bought since mine is at the Zpacks factory getting the holes repaired. The loaner tent they gave me is a 1 person tent which is ok, but I don’t like the size and it’s got an even bigger condensation problem than my Zpacks Duplex. Sarah ran me to the post office to send a food resupply to Snoqualmie Pass and then grabbed coffee and a little breakfast. She dropped me back off with the Salty Butt Bandits at White Pass where we hiked out just 12 miles to a huge camp spot that has probably 12-15 tents set up. We all also passed by the 2300 mile marker, under 400 miles to go to the Canadian border. The stream next to camp is soothing and it should be a good night sleep, but supposed to be cold. Clancy and I saw our first elk on trail today and we all passed by some beautiful blue lakes.
