September 9, Day 143: 2465.2-2470.8

Gratitude of the Day: I’m thankful for Tucker “Huck” Cooper. The “game man” made the trail a lot more fun with camp bocce ball, wiffle ball home run derby and playing frisbee.
Out of Leavenworth today and my pack I think is the heaviest it’s ever been. I resupplied this time with lots of rich and tasty foods giving myself a break from the typical ramen noodles. After eating lunch at McDonald’s Dunk, Clyde, Cool Cat and I got a hitch from a fellow thru hiker that was off trail with an injured foot. 40 minutes later we were all dropped off at Stevens pass and hiked out 5ish miles uphill to a beautiful lake called Lake Valhalla.
Our next town stop will be our last before reaching the border. The end is closing in.
