Day 137: Thank You Siobhan and a bad mood

September 3, Day 137: 2379.9-2394.1

Miles Hiked: 14.2

Gratitude of the Day: I’m thankful for Siobhan “Biggie” Carr.  Her smile and laugh puts a smile on my face every time.

What a rough day for me. I tossed and turned all night and got limited sleep, not sure why but was just restless. My alarm went off at 6am and I was out of camp by 6:40. The trail even though it was limited miles into Snoqualmie for me was just difficult. I could feel every last mile, perhaps the trail is finally catching up to this 40 year old.  If I wasn’t struggling so much, I would have appreciated this beautiful section of the trail. I did enjoy Mirror Lake and it lived up to its name. I got into Snoqualmie and got my room for the night. I walked up and Clyde was outside the hotel, asked if everything was good and I was just in a foul mood, he immediately gave me a hug… he’s an amazing guy and helped bring me out of my funk. Pony Boy’s dad is doing trail magic out of his RV here making us all hamburger, brats and loads of beverages. Such a wonderful thing on a day like today.
