Day 70: End of the Sierra’s

June 28, Day 70: 1006.9-1017.9

Miles Hiked: 11

Gratitude of the Day: I’m thankful for meeting new people.

Today is the unofficial end to the Sierra section of the PCT as I reached Kennedy Meadows North. I got to get rid of my heavy bear can that’s required through the 300 mile section and my pack is now back to a normal size and weight. The 11 miles into the resort was a fun one, Huck and I hiked to Sonora Pass together, even running parts of it as we listened to music. Kennedy Meadows was a fun place, good food and a nice resupply store. We stayed up late hanging out with other hikers playing corn hole.
